Marilyn Louise Cargile
Memorial
Scholarship

The Marilyn Louise Cargile Memorial Scholarship has been founded in loving memory of the late Cleveland educator who dedicated 45 years of her life to teaching and working in the Cleveland public school systems.  Marilyn was known as a “fixer” during her tenure  as a principal, assistant principal, and teacher, and her legacy is that of an educator who was committed to improving the culture at all of her schools.

Marilyn also grew up in Cleveland and was a proud product of Cleveland’s public education system, most notably East Tech High School.

The Marilyn Louise Cargile Memorial Scholarship is a tribute to the talented youth in Cleveland, and a commitment to preserving the culture and community-building spirit that Marilyn embodied.
The scholarship will be awarded annually to 1-3 eligible Cleveland High School seniors who are pursing higher education at an accredited university/college.
